Privacy policy
How the website, local features and external services handle information.
Online transfers and network services
Online mode uses PeerJS signaling to help devices connect and WebRTC for the data channel. The code configures Google and Twilio STUN servers, and a deployment can configure a TURN relay. Those network providers can receive connection metadata such as IP addresses and peer identifiers; a TURN relay can carry encrypted transport traffic. No-account use is not the same as having no network intermediaries.
The application does not provide a server-side file inbox. Payloads are transferred between devices or encoded into QR frames. Receivers can save a copy, so send only to a recipient you trust. A short code or PIN is not a substitute for verifying who is receiving the transfer.
QR payloads, camera and local state
The offline QR path can operate without internet after the application is loaded and cached. Camera access is requested for scanning, and QR images can be selected from your device. Optional passphrase encryption is available for an offline QR transfer; a QR shown without it can be read by anyone with a compatible scanner.
Instant QR data is held in a URL fragment. Browsers do not send that fragment in ordinary HTTP requests, but it can still be exposed by sharing the link, screenshots, browser history or software with access to the page. Local settings and the app’s offline cache can persist in the browser. Clear this site’s storage or revoke camera permission through browser settings when needed.
Hosting and external services
When you load a page, the hosting service receives technical request information such as your IP address, browser details and requested URL. Operational logs and retention depend on the hosting provider and deployment. The online connection depends on PeerJS and configured STUN/TURN services as described above. A support link can open Buy Me a Coffee. The public educational pages do not initiate peer connections or access your camera.
Advertising and choices
This site identifies its publisher to Google AdSense for site review. Verification metadata and ads.txt do not themselves load advertisements. The pages in this release do not include an AdSense ad-serving script.
If Google advertising is enabled on a page, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers, IP addresses and device or browser information to deliver and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted. This is separate from any local processing performed by the tool. Read how Google uses information from sites and apps and manage personalization through My Ad Center.
Where required, advertising must be accompanied by an appropriate consent mechanism before it is activated. Browser settings can remove stored site data and control cookies. Following an external link is governed by the destination service’s policy.
